2020 NEWS/HIGHLIGHTS

3/10/20 -------  FYI  

The Forever Young Senior Softball League ( FYSSL) website may be viewed seamlessly on a desktop, a laptop, a tablet, or a smartphone. Some of the additions for 2020 include new player statistics, a few modifications to 2019 statistics , team and player slash lines, and a sponsor slideshow.

Remember that you can access each sponsor's website by clicking the appropriate Red Button on the home page.

Note, in order to stop the movement of a slideshow picture on a desktop or a laptop, place the cursor right onto the picture. To resume the slideshow, just remove the cursor away from the picture.

 

In order to stop the slideshow on a tablet or a smartphone, you will need to tap the picture with your finger. You may need to apply some good hard pressure with your tap. The software is a little finicky on these devices, so you might have to tap hard several times as fast as you can. If you are able to get the slideshow to stop, in order to resume the slideshow, you must tap the picture in the same manner .

If you have not signed up for the Forever Young Senior Softball League and wish to join, please fill out the Registration Form located on the Home Page. Send it along with your payment of $75, your shirt size , and your shirt number selection(s) to Jack Zupan, 387 Robin Hood Drive, Yardley, Pa.  19067  215-828-5228 ASAP.

On some devices, such as a tablet or a smartphone, you might have to scroll down a bit on the HomePage in order to access the registration form.

So until further notice, we will wait and see what happens. In the meantime, we will do whatever we need to do to get ready.

No sports?  Well, if you are interested,  You Tube is televising the top 10 Phillies games of all time as voted by the MLB Network. You Tube is also televising some other teams games as well.  In fact , there are many stations televising all kinds of old sporting events.

​

5/18/20 --------

BREAKING NEWS!

It has been some time since we have provided an update but there is no activity at this time as you know.  We had a recent discussion with the township.  They said the park will remain closed to large group activities at least until the State declares Bucks County in the green.  This is unlikely to happen before  August at the earliest.  Given this information and the fact that we players are the most vulnerable population for bad outcomes from COVID – 19, the Board of Commissioners has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season.  Registration monies will be moved to 2021.  Contact Jerry Barsky if you prefer to receive a refund.

 

We are sorry to be passing this news on to you but consideration for our health and safety and the health of our loved ones is the first priority in our decision.
